Did you turn on the game late? If you did, you probably missed Ryan Johansen’s first goal as a member of the Nashville Predators.
Just 2:35 into the contest, Johansen used his teammates as decoys and scored from an impossible angle on the power play to open the scoring.
It was the third fastest goal by a player making his debut (JP Dumont and Mikko Lehtonen) in Predators’ franchise history, per Elias Sports Bureau. Later on, he added an assist, becoming just the third Nashville player in history (Steve Sullivan and Denis Grebeshkov) to register a goal and an assist in their debut.
