Everyone knows how important and dynamic the current Cleveland Cavaliers / Golden State Warriors rivalry is to the NBA.
That is, everyone except for LeBron James.
The NBA superstar faced the media on Sunday prior to their game vs. the Warriors. When asked about the rivalry between the two teams, James shrugged it off:
“I don’t think we have a rival in our game today,” James stated.
“We’ve had two great Finals appearances the last two years, but I had the same with San Antonio when I was in Miami. We weren’t rivals. And I think I played those guys more, so I wouldn’t look at it as rivals.”
Our very own Jason Fitz had a lot to say about James’ interview with the media during his daily segment, Fitz Unfiltered:
“I just don’t understand it. How can you not embrace what this rivalry means to the NBA?” Fitz asked.
“Instead of taking that moment, he downplays it, and by downplaying it, he downplays the very thing that drives the ratings to the sport that allows him to make a living.”
Fitzy says that LeBron James is CRAZY if he thinks Cleveland and Golden State aren't rivals now. #FitzUnfiltered is live NOW! Brought to you by www.HelloFilters.com!
