Wednesday night, the Nashville Predators grabbed a big 4-3 win on the road in Game 1 of the Second Round against the St. Louis Blues. Vern Fiddler scored the game-winning goal with 5:05 remaining in the third period, while P.K. Subban collected one goal and two assists. In doing so, Subban became the first Predators defenseman to ever tally three points in a playoff game.
However, the Predators lost Kevin Fiala in the second period due to a left leg injury after being checked into the boards by Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo. Fiala was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, alert and in stable condition.
