Prepare yourself for another thrilling night of high school football, the Mid-State has another intense set of games on deck.
In a loaded week, the marquee match-up is Maryville vs. Oakland in Murfreesboro. Oakland is coming off a blowout win against Independence, while Maryville defeated Knoxville Catholic. In a battle of Middle Tennessee vs. West Tennessee these two powerhouse schools will not disappoint. This game could give us a glimpse toward the future in the Class 6A playoffs.
For the Nashville natives, Stratford faces Hillsboro. Two of the most prestigious programs over the last couple years in Metro square off seeking revenge after both teams took tough losses last week. Hillsboro head coach Maurice Fitzgerald left Stratford to take the Hillsboro coaching position which adds to the plot lines of this story.
Ensworth and CPA square off in a meeting of private school rivals. Each program has had immense success in the last several seasons and touts some of the top players in the state competing. Ricky Bowers and Ingle Martin are distinguished names on the Mid-State coaching scene which creates a fantastic coaching battle to compliment what goes on between the hashes. What will happen when Martin takes on his former Head Coach?
For a Williamson County and Metro Nashville battle, tune in for Brentwood at Cane Ridge. Both squads are coming off wins last week and are looking to advance in the 6A rankings.

Blackman running back Master Teague, an Ohio State commit, is coming off a monster campaign last week. Teague is The Game Blitz’s Performer of the Week for Week One after his stellar start to the season! The 3-star recruit (per 24/7 sports composite) faces off against Rhea County seeking another great week.
Another Ohio State commitment in Max Wray and the Franklin Rebels face Riverdale in a Rutherford County vs. Williamson County game. Look out for the 4-star standout (24/7 composite ranking) to continue mauling opposing defensive linemen.
Dynamic Vanderbilt committed wide receiver Camron Johnson looks to display his supreme athleticism against Father Ryan Friday night. The Brentwood Academy wide out has track speed and top of the line jumping ability, he is a big play waiting to happen. Brentwood Academy never disappoints and neither will Johnson.
