The Nashville Predators once again rocked the landscape of the NHL when they acquired forward Kyle Turris as a part of a three team trade with the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche. The Preds would part with defenseman, Samuel Girard and forward Vladislav Kamenev along with a second round pick, but the return would prove great for David Poile and company as Turris immediately signed a 6 years $36 million deal. The Senators would get forward Matt Duchene from the Avs and send back a 1st, 3rd and prospects. Poile would give his first comments at a press conference with the media, but shortly after joined Darren McFarland on 3D.
The Predators have been known for their core 4 on defense over the past few seasons, but now they can tout their depth down the middle as well, something that many around the league have been discussing. EJ Hradek from the NHL Network also joined 3D to give his thoughts on just how formidable of an opponent the Predators can be as they look to make another run at Lord Stanley’s Cup.
3D airs weekdays on 102.5 the Game from 10a-2p with Darren McFarland, Derrick Mason and Willy Daunic.
