NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bryce Drew, coach of the Men’s Basketball program at Vanderbilt, missed the postseason in 2018 (12-20, 13th in the SEC); it was the first time in his seven years as the man in charge that a Drew-led team had not done so.
With the signing of the first two McDonald’s All Americans in the program’s history, though, next year’s iteration of the Vandy Men’s squad will have a much different feel and much higher expectations. Five-star recruits Simi Shittu and Darius Garland have already signed on to come to West End and the two newcomers may not be the last to join the Commodores 2018 class.
Darren McFarland and Willy Daunic were joined by ESPN college basketball analyst and Indianapolis sports talk host Dan Dakich this week to talk about the upcoming Final Four in San Antonio but also to get Dakich’s thoughts on undecided five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford, who hails from New Albany Indiana. Langford is currently withholding his decision between Vanderbilt, Indiana and Kansas.
What has Dakich heard about the possibility that Drew might have three McDonald’s All Americans in Memorial Gym next year? Listen to the full interview below and find out!
