NASHVILLE, Tenn. — For fans of 31 other NFL teams, free agency and the upcoming draft have been the talk of this offseason. But, for the Tennessee Titans, the anticipation has been almost exclusively about the unveiling of the team’s new uniforms.
In a celebration commemorating the event Wednesday evening, team controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, quarterback Marcus Mariota and new coach Mike Vrabel were among several representatives on-had to reveal the updated threads to a throng of excited Nashvillians in attendance. The release and block party was announced to the club’s season ticket holders at a gathering in late February and featured a free Florida Georgia Line concert for those in attendance.
The idea and process for developing the updated uniforms began in 2014, according to the team, and are not a total departure from the “two-tone blue” color scheme that the team has long been associated with. The fireball logo also remains a staple. But, as the team enters its 20th season, the theme of “Tradition Evolved” pays tribute to the old while embracing the new.
