Saturday 8:45-9:30 – The Ascend Federal Credit Union speaker series begins with a star-studded panel who serve as weekly contributors to The Tennessean Midstate Fishing Report. Local angler Joey Monteleone and fishing guide Brian Carper will be joined by a list of others. .  Tennessean sports writer Mike Organ, George Plaster, Paul Neighbors Jr., Troy Holley,  Ken , Chris Snow, David Clark, and Randy Bolin.
Saturday 9:45-10:15 – Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial panel discussion . . . Dr. Stephen Morrow MD is a pediatric surgeon who treats patients at The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial. Dr. Morrow will be accompanied by a representative of AERO-organizers of the 2016 Music City Kids Triathlon presented by The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial. They will discuss a wide range of children’s health topics.

Saturday 10:30-11:15 – Will Perdue is a former All-American center at Vanderbilt, who went on to play in the NBA from 1988-2001. Perdue collected 4 NBA championships, with 3 of those coming as a member of Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls. Perdue is a great story-teller, and has thrived in his role as a television and radio color analyst. Perdue will talk both college and pro basketball during the speaker forum, and is expected to throw a few barbs at his long-time friend George Plaster.

Saturday  11:30-12:15 – Jack Conklin was recently selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the NFL draft. Conklin played football at Michigan State, earning Big Ten and All-American honors. Conklin was part of Spartan teams that went to the Rose Bowl, and also played Alabama in the semi-finals of the national playoff format. He will certainly have some great stories about Michigan State’s miracle win over arch-rival Michigan, as well as the adjustment to life as a professional athlete. He is considered a strong candidate for a starting lineup position in the Titans offensive line for 2016.

Saturday 12:30-1:30 – Nashville Predators Power Hour   With the Predators recent run in the Stanley Cup playoffs, this speakers series is still being formulated. Stay tuned for further updates, which should be coming in a few days.

Saturday  2:00-3:00 – Bryce Drew was named Vanderbilt’s new basketball coach in April, following the departure of Kevin Stallings to Pittsburgh. Drew previously was the head coach at his alma mater Valparaiso. He also played several seasons in the NBA. Drew is also known for an NCAA tournament buzzer-beater in 1998 against the Ole Miss Rebels. This will be one of his first speaking opportunities since arriving in Nashville. You won’t want to miss this one

Saturday  3:00-3:45  – Anatomy of an Upset  MTSU’s upset of Michigan State in this year’s NCAA basketball tournament ranks as one of the biggest shockers in recent tournament history. Blue Raider coach Kermit Davis and MTSU play-by-play voice Chip Walters will take you behind-the-scenes of what went on in the days leading up to the victory. While the rest of the basketball world gave MTSU no chance to win, you will learn that the Blue Raider scouting report said something totally different.
