You know the story by now in the NFL playoffs. Whoever gets hot at the right time, in past years a wild card team, has a great shot at making the Super Bowl.
The Seattle Seahawks went into San Fransisco on Thanksgiving night, and had their way with the 49ers. 19-3 doesent look bad on the ESPN ticker, however it was not that close of a matchup. The Seahawks have lost every game in San Fransisco since Jim Harbaugh took over the relms of the 49ers, but things changed due in large part to a new found swagger. Richard Sherman had 2 interceptions for the vaunted Seattle defense, and Colin Kaepernick struggled all night. Kaepernick was sacked 4 times, and only threw for 121 yards on 16 completions. Can the Seahawks win the division over the Drew Stanton lead Arizona Cardinals? Its not out of the question, but would you want to play one of the NFL’s hottest teams in the first week of the playoffs?
The Green Bay Packers are another hot team in the NFC, and rightfully so with their recent strings of blowout victories Over divisional opponents. However, can you pick the Packers to beat a Seattle team that defeated them handily to open the NFL Season? I am a believer in the defending Super Bowl Champions, and you should be as well.
