Filip Forsberg is a point-per-game player this season, his rookie campaign, but how good is he really? In just another example of his elite vision and hockey IQ, he even earns — that’s right, earns — points on empty net goals.
In last night’s contest against the Avalanche in Denver, Colorado, Forsberg was tied up along the boards but still managed to get the puck to linemate Mike Ribeiro so, eventually, James Neal could bag the goal and put the game out of reach.
“That was pretty sick,” Ribeiro told the post-game show crew on 102.5 The Game last night.
Indeed, “Ribs.” Indeed.
