Cubs ink Zobrist

Nashville resident Ben Zobrist has found a new home for the next four seasons. The Chicago Cubs signed Zobrist to a 4-year, $56 million contact Tuesday evening.
Zobrist, 34, won a World Series with the Kansas City Royals and hit .276/.359/.450 in 467 at-bats with both the Oakland A’s and Royals last season.
The utility man has been used the infield and outfield but expressed his desire to focus on one position. That allowed the Cubs to trade infielder Starlin Castro to the Yankees.
Trading Castro opened up second base for the Cubs, which will most likely be filled by Zobrist.
