Newly-acquired Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban wasted no time immersing himself in all things Music City Sunday, his first day in town since being traded from Montreal last month.
The team’s official website chronicled Subban’s adventures as he traversed Broadway with stops at Bridgestone Arena, the Ford Ice Center and, of course, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Renowned for his eccentricities, Subban decided to play to the Tootsie’s crowd.
Literally.
.@PKSubban1 arrives in #Smashville, promptly sings Johnny Cash at Tootsie’s. #Preds

What better way to engender the love of his new fan base then to do what everyone else does when they go Downtown: head straight to a bar and sing Johnny Cash.
Unfortunately for Subban, he was unable to blame his off-key singing on his level of intoxication, as the rest of us often do.
