Throughout the course of Game 2 between the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL’s Western Conference finals, Preds center Ryan Johansen and Ryan Kesler of Anaheim were combative to say the least.
Following his team’s 5-3 loss, Johansen had no problem sharing some thoughts on his in-game interactions with Kesler.

“I mean he just blows my mind. I mean watching – I don’t know what’s going through his head out there but like his family and his friends watching him play? I don’t know how you cheer for a guy like that,” Johansen told the media. “It just doesn’t make sense how he plays the game, so I’m just trying to go out there and play hockey and it sucks when you gotta pull a stick out of your groin every shift.”
And, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Johansen and Kesler share an agent, Kurt Overhardt, making the situation even more awkward/entertaining.
The series, now tied at one game apiece, heads to Nashville for Game 3 on Tuesday, May 16th. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm CT on ESPN 102.5 The Game.
