Top 10 Moments of the 2015-16 Season: #8

When a player makes an incredible individual effort to get around another player, it can make the highlight reel. But when it’s a future Norris Trophy winner making a two-time Norris Trophy winner look like an amateur defenseman, it makes all the highlight reels.

That’s exactly what happened on November 10 when Roman Josi put the puck around the Ottawa Senators’ Erik Karlsson, skated in and tucked a beautiful shot under the crossbar to tie the game 3-3 in the second period.

How nice was the move? Consider the reaction on Twitter.

Keep in mind, the Preds faithful in Bridgestone Arena took great joy in watching Karlsson in particular get worked over. Back in 2012, the Senators blueliner won the Norris over Predators captain Shea Weber by a mere 12 points. Most in the hockey world agree that Weber is a much better all-around defenseman than Karlsson but Karlsson put up 78 points that season (and played in Canada) and Nashville fans thought he won the honor simply because he put up higher offensive numbers.

Below is Pete Weber’s call on the Nashville Predators Radio Network.

And, finally, take it in for all it’s glory.

Josi’s dangle around Karlsson checks in at #8 on our Top 10 Moments countdown. Check back tomorrow for the next top moment.
