NASHVILLE (August 21, 2019) – Jared Stillman and Floyd Reese, cohosts of ESPN 102.5 The Game’s weekday 2-6 pm afternoon show Jared & The GM, have each been signed to multi-year extensions. The new agreement will keep the duo on air together through September 2021.
“I’m thrilled that we’re continuing our partnership with these two talented individuals,” Cromwell owner Bud Walters said. “Jared Stillman’s wealth of sports knowledge and his passion for engaging listeners to consider all sides of any discussion makes for compelling radio. Floyd Reese is an NFL and sports icon and a perfect counter-balance to Jared. He shares stories and unique insights that no one else can in a very humble manner. Together they are a Nashville sports enthusiast’s treasure.”
Jared & The GM initially debuted in afternoons in August of 2016. Jared Stillman previously hosted daily sports-talk radio shows in New Hampshire and Kentucky before returning to his hometown station in April of 2015. Stillman, a lifelong Nashville sports fan, is well known for his in-depth and against-the-grain opinions and analysis of local teams.
“Being the co-host of Jared & The GM the last three years has been an honor and a dream come true,” Stillman said. “Nashville is the best city in America and I couldn’t be more excited to be staying here for the foreseeable future. I am forever grateful to Bud Walters and Cromwell Radio for giving me the opportunity to come here over four years ago and appreciate the lengths they’ve gone to in order to help us continue to grow. I can promise we will continue to work as hard as ever to give listeners the same daily, thought-provoking, entertaining drive home every day.”
Jared & The GM features the only Tennessee Titans expert in the afternoons of sports-talk radio in Nashville, as Floyd Reese held the General Manager position for the Oilers/Titans franchise from 1994 through 2006. Reese also spent four years as a member of the New England Patriots’ front office staff. Reese has been an afternoon host on ESPN 102.5 The Game since April of 2015.
“Jared has been an absolute pleasure to work with since we started together three years ago,” Reese said. “We strive to be the best show possible on a daily basis by discussing the most popular sports topics in Nashville and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished to this point. Bud Walters has done a great job of developing a great working culture at Cromwell Radio and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
ESPN 102.5 The Game’s weekday lineup also features Morning Drive with Nick Kayal, Braden Gall and Derrick Mason, from 6-10 am; and Darren, Daunic & Chase with Darren McFarland, Willy Daunic and Chase McCabe, from 10-2 pm.
