Cromwell Media/Nashville Promotes Chase McCabe to
Program Director of ESPN 102.5 The Game (WPRT-FM)
Nashville, TN – Cromwell Media announced that Chase McCabe has been named the new Program Director/Brand Manager of 102.5 The Game, effective January 3, following the departure of current Program Director Ryan Porth. McCabe has been with Cromwell Media for ten years and served as Assistant Program Director of The Game for the past 4 years.
“We are fortunate to be in a position to promote from within our ranks,” said VP/Market Manager Dennis Gwiazdon. “I’m confident that Chase will use this opportunity to sustain ESPN 102.5 The Game’s momentum and his promotion allows us to maintain continuity as we build on our reputation as Nashville’s Best Sports Talk.”
McCabe is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He started his career with Cromwell Media as a producer for various shows on 102.5 The Game before joining as co-host of the “Darren, Daunic and Chase” midday show more than 2 years ago. “I am absolutely thrilled to lead ESPN 102.5 The Game and ESPN 94.9 and grateful for the opportunity that owner Bud Walters and Dennis have given me. I can’t wait to see what new heights we can reach,” said McCabe. “I have also been blessed to work with Ryan Porth for the last 9 years and have not only learned a lot from a colleague, I’ve gained a friend for life and wish him nothing but the best.”
Ryan Porth, former Program Director/Brand Manager, is moving to Chicago to assume the role of Assistant Brand Manager for WSCR-AM/670 The Score. “We are excited for Ryan’s opportunity to be in the #3 radio market in the country. Throughout his tenure with ESPN 102.5 The Game Ryan has been instrumental in our success over the years,” added Gwiazdon. “All of us at Cromwell Media are happy for Ryan and wish him continued success. I have no doubt that Chase will be his worthy successor.”
