Cubs unveil Sandberg statue on ‘an awesome day’

On Sunday, before the Chicago Cubs played host to the New York Mets, former second baseman Ryne Sandberg was immortalized outside of Wrigley Field as the team unveiled a statue of his likeness in an afternoon ceremony on what he called “an awesome day.”
