Alonso lauds Mets fans in ‘special’ return to Citi Field

Baltimore first baseman Pete Alonso made his first visit to Citi Field as an opposing player Monday in the Orioles’ 2-1 win over the New York Mets, and he was greeted warmly by 35,800 fans who chanted the former Met’s name during his plate appearances.
