Three games. Five days. That’s how long it took Nashville Predators phenom Filip Forsberg to record two hat tricks. Oh, and they were natural hatty’s as well.
On February 23, Forsberg lit up the Toronto Maple Leafs for three straight goals in the game’s opening 25:36. Toronto would add two in the third period but the damage was done and the Preds would go onto win 3-2.
Then, a few days later, Forsberg chased Jake Allen from the St. Louis net as he rattled off three goals in the second period. Nashville would go onto shutout the Blues 5-0. According to the Fox Sports Tennessee broadcast, it was the shortest amount of time since 1987-88 when Washington Capitals sniper Peter Bondra did it in eight days.
Forsberg’s two natural hat tricks in three games checks in at #7 on our Top 10 Moments of the 2015-16 Season countdown.
