NASHVILLE (December 16, 2020) – Floyd Reese has announced his decision to resign from ESPN 102.5 The Game’s afternoon show Jared & The GM. Reese has been on the air in afternoons for the last five-plus years, with Jared Stillman being his co-host since August of 2016.
“This is something I’ve been contemplating for a while and I feel it’s time for me to take a step back,” Reese said. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my tenure with 102.5 The Game and doing a show with Jared has been a terrific experience. He and I formed a unique partnership that allowed us to be teammates and friends. I’d also like to thank Cromwell Media owner, Bud Walters, and PD Ryan Porth for their non-stop support over the years. It’s been a good run.”
Before arriving to ESPN 102.5 The Game in 2015, Reese was most notably the General Manager of the Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans. He finished his 37-year NFL career in 2012 following a four-year stint as Senior Football Advisor of the New England Patriots.
“Floyd’s football acumen and genuine personality helped guide our show to levels that people thought weren’t possible,” said Stillman. “Most importantly, he was the best co-host you could ever ask for. I consider him a friend and mentor, and he was always there to give me a firm kick in the rear when I needed it. I will never take for granted what an honor and a privilege it has been to work with him every day.”
ESPN 102.5 The Game Program Director Ryan Porth said, “On behalf of everyone at the radio station, I want to thank Floyd for the many years of on-air expertise and entertainment he provided on a daily basis. He was a tremendous asset to our brand, given his wealth of football knowledge, and a fantastic individual for us to have called a teammate. He also provided a unique dynamic with Jared in the afternoons that will certainly be missed. We wish Floyd all the best in his next chapter.”
Moving forward, the afternoon show from 2-6 PM on ESPN 102.5 The Game will be known as Stillman & Company, hosted by Jared Stillman. The station will conduct a search for the show’s next co-host.

I hate to see Floyd go, the only reason I listened to the show. Jared is so obnoxious it’s tiresome. I think Floyd struggled with Jared’s personality (or lack there of). He sound’s like a snot nosed kid to me and shouldn’t be on the air. I’m amazed he has this show – I guess his ratings are ok. If I didn’t know better I would think he is a transplant from the Northeast – his voice and mannerisms are totally annoying.
Good luck, I’m gone!
This is great for Jared. Floyd wanted to act like some “Patriot Way Guy” and not give answers to anything Jared would discuss. It is sports talk radio, you need to have an opinion. He brought nothing to the table, except tell Jared he did not know anything, but would not tell the listeners any kind of answer to anything or give any opinion of any kind for someone so related to the sports world. Keep up the good work Jared.
